Introducing IMPACT Revit

The progression of Autodesk Revit modelling platform has not eluded anyone. Thanks to its powerful 3D model and versatile family customization it has become a popular successor to AutoCAD in many structural design companies.

As the platform has matured and its user base grown, it is only natural that we should be able to offer IMPACTs prefabrication functionality on Revit as well as AutoCAD.

Today, we are proud to announce the first step in making that a reality.

Column and Beam module (beta)

As a first step, we have developed a Column and Beam module, which will be released today (through StruSoft Installer) as a beta version. Anybody who has a Column and Beam license will be able to run the Revit version as well.

If you are interested in testing IMPACT Revit BETA, please contact: beta.impact@strusoft.com or call +46 (0)733-86 86 92.

Requirements are IMPACT 14.2 and Revit 2015.

Start to finish

In contrast to Revit Base Tools, which is designed as a one-time database population tool, IMPACT Revit is meant to completely replace AutoCAD in the process, producing all drawings needed (note: the beta version does not include full shop drawing functionality).

IMPACT Revit can be used for modelling from scratch or to adapt an existing Revit model to precast elements.

Seamless

Instead of mapping Revit families with IMPACT definitions, IMPACT Revit matches definitions automatically and even creates new ones in the background if needed. This makes working in IMPACT Revit as seamless as its AutoCAD counterpart.

An added benefit is that you can create parametric elements where IMPACTs parametric sections don't fit. Change a parameter, save it, and a new user-defined section definition is created automatically!
